Joshua 1:9
This past week was Vacation Bible School at our church. David was able to participate and I went as a helper in his class. My mom came over for the week and took care of Kassy while David and I had fun. The first night of VBS the kids learned actions and the words to Joshua 1:9, which is, "God is with you wherever you go." David did a wonderful job repeating this verse whenever I asked him and was even able to remember it over the next several nights. What a great first verse, which proved to be useful this part weekend.
My nephews, J and C were at my folks with us because of the annual cousins reunion that my Grandma has beginhosting. The kids were all outside playing at Mom and Dad's, with the bigger boys in the back yard. J climbed a tree and wasn't able to Getty down. David told him, "It's ok, J, God is with you wherever you go."J said, "I don't see him now!"
Think with me here-God was there-and he used David to go for help. Sometimes I think I get so wrapped up looking for God to answer my problem the way I think he will (or how I think he should) that I can easily miss how he already provided a solution.
