Kisses, Tubing, and Farm Show

As of late, David has decided that he no longer likes to get kisses. He is pretty quick to wipe them off if by chance someone tries to sneak one on his cheek. He was even wiping off my kisses! One day I asked him why he was wiping off my kisses and he told me, "I'm not wiping them off, I'm rubbing them in!" Awwww, I'll take that!

Daddy has also gotten pretty good at getting kisses from Kassy too. She likes him to pick her up and carry her. Once he has her tucked into his side he asks her, "are you forgetting something?" and she leans right over and kisses him on the cheek.

Gotta love little kisses!

Last weekend the kids and I went tubing with some good friends. We made 6 trips down the mountain over the course of 3.5 hours. We waited in line a long time, but both kids were having so much fun that they didn't seem to really mind. I knew that it would be best for Kassy (and me) if she and I shared a tube. David was adamant that he wanted to go by himself. I acquiesced to his request, trying to figure out how I'd be able to get all three of us down on one tube if he changed his mind at the top. I'm glad I didn't spend too long worrying about it. He went down all six trips without fear and had a great time! He even convinced me and Kassy to follow him down the steepest trail, no small feat.

This is how we all felt after tubing! So much fun!

Not sure how much longer they will both be able to sit in a cart like this.

2012 Preschool Christmas Concert

David's preschool Christmas concert was really sweet this year, but what else would you expect from preschoolers? We were very blessed to have three Grandmas, three Grandpas, and one Great Grandma come to watch. I bribed David with an offer of Dairy Queen after the program if he would wear the shirt, pants, and vest that Grandma Pi gave him. He has been on a super hero pajama kick for the last month and fights like crazy to avoid wearing anything but pajamas! I've given up trying to convince him that he needs to wear clothes to the store, to preschool, or even to church (Batman did make an appearance one Sunday!). So, for now, I guess I'll let him wear pajamas; at least he lets me wash them without too much hassle. I suppose it could be worse....he could be trying to convince me that it's ok to go without pajamas....or clothes....

I'm sorry, Grandma, but it won't let me upload any videos!
