We've been working with our doctor to get rid of a wart on the bottom of David's foot since the beginning of March. She tried beetle juice and freezing it but neither one has worked. I found the wart in January but David didn't complain about it, so I didn't get concerned. Since then it has begun to hurt and it's on a part of his foot that he walks on. Yesterday we had an appointment with a dermatologist in Sioux Falls. She opted for a stronger beetle juice concoction so we'll see how that works. This morning he says it still hurts.
David hung out with Grandma Linda yesterday morning after his appointment and then we had a wonderful lunch. Then we stopped by Grandpa Doug's shop to say "hi." Of course, this week is the big Kingswood Rummage sales, so Grandma pointed us in the right direction and we headed for the sales. She climbed in the back seat with David and played, read books, and watched a movie with him while I shopped.
When it was time to head for home, we dropped Grandma off and made a quick bathroom stop. David went out of the house without arguing and headed for the trike that Grandma and Grandpa have for him to ride. I scooped him up and he yelled at me that he wasn't ready to leave yet. I managed to buckle him in and Grandma gave him a kiss and we headed down the street. At one point he stopped yelling long enough to sing...."the wheels on the bus go waaa, waaa, waa" followed by a "Stop Mommy! Turn around! I don't want to leave Grandma Linda's!" I love it that he has so much fun there!
